Did you know the Diocese of Arlington is comprised of 68 parishes and 6 missions?
With so many Catholic churches spread across Northern Virginia, it only makes sense that each community comes with a host of stories and a special love for its parish family. The parishes of Precious Blood and Saint Francis de Sales are no exception.
Precious Blood is located in Culpeper, VA (Culpeper County) and is a community of about 3,300 parishioners. Precious Blood is led by its pastor, Rev. Leo Zonneveld, C.I.C.M., V.F., who has served at Precious Blood for over thirty years!
In this video, Father Zonneveld describes the rich history of the parish dating back to the 1800s, as well as the Church’s role in serving the poor and needy of the surrounding areas.
At Saint Francis de Sales in Purcellville, the parish continues to grow and enjoy a rich community life with many families. Parochial Administrator Father Ronald Escalante talks about the strong faith at Saint Francis de Sales and the joys of serving at a country parish.
