Catholic Diocese of Arlington Welcomes New Bishop

This week, we give thanks for our new bishop, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge, who was installed as the fourth Bishop of Arlington yesterday afternoon at an Episcopal Mass of Installation, succeeding Bishop Paul S. Loverde.

Yesterday afternoon, at an Episcopal Mass of Installation held at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge formally assumed leadership of the Diocese of Arlington as our fourth Bishop.

Thank you, Bishop Loverde!

Let us pray for Bishop Burbidge as he begins his episcopacy in Arlington.

Let us give also thanks to God for Bishop Loverde’s faithful and tireless service to our Diocese and wish him a wonderful retirement.
