A new Catholic Charities Mobile Response Van is being put to good use assisting the victims of the recent hurricanes.

Ford Motor Company presented Catholic Charities USA with a new Mobile Response Center, which is used to bring relief to people experiencing a disaster. The van is wheelchair accessible, has air conditioning, a phone charging station, and lighting—all incredibly helpful for people attempting to reconnect with families and recover.
The Mobile Response Center has already responded to its first call for help by assisting Hurricane Harvey victims in Houston, TX, and is expected to then head to those affected by Hurricane Irma in Florida.
When not responding to a disaster, this van will be shared by Catholic Charities with the Diocese of Arlington, the Archdiocese of Washington, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The Mobile Response Center will allow us to share our services with many people who may not have had easy access to them in the past. We will meet people where they are. We will go out into the streets and truly make a difference.
